What was your best Fresh Meat moment?
Finally passing the pesky week 10 test after failing it the year before. I cried. It was great!
What have you learned from roller derby?
Patience is key. It’s OK to build your strength and skill at a pace that’s right for you. I overdid it at the gym after my very first fresh meat session as I wanted so badly to get stronger, quicker. I ended up pulling my quad and being out for several weeks. Learn from my mistake!
Who are your roller derby heroes?
Big Tall Jock and Spangled. If you want to see some beautiful jamming, look no further.
What other sports / training do you do when you’re not on eight wheels?
Yoga, gym, and the occasional dance class when I find the time.
